I was very excited about the Winter Olympics, so imagine my disgust with last night's opening ceremonies and this afternoon's needless broadcast of that schmucky, sanctimonious piece of crap song "We are the World".If they insist on boradcasting this stupid song for every Olympic broadcast, I swear I will go to NBC headquarters and create mayhem.
The opening ceremonies?meh. Come on Canada! you gave the world Wayne Gretzky! maybe he should have done the opening ceremony. Oh well, at least he was in attendence. What was with all the speeches? and what was up with that freaky guy who looked as if he was really a woman?I admit that parts of it were very cool, but I fell asleep at 11;30,about halfway through Mountain Man's ponificating speech about the wonders of Canada.
I can only hope that coverage gets better. I am praying I do NOT have to hear that "We are the World" song again.I t was bad enough when it was new.

I have been a video game junkie for as long as there have been video games.Chronicles of Zen is just an idea I had(please don't steal it)It isn't fully fleshed out yet,it is just an outline and something I would like to see made a reality.Unfortunately I know nothing about programming and my graphic artisan abilities are limited to Paint Shop Pro(which I love)...so Chronicles may just be nothing more than a dream of mine.I am, however,a great and creative story teller so if someone would like to collaborate with me on this venture I would be willing to flesh this thing out and complete it!
I play all kinds of video games,RPGs being my favorites.I love a deep, chewy story that takes many hours to complete. Some of my favorites are Valkyrie Profile:Lenneth(PSP),Final Fantasy Tactics DS(Nintendo DS),Dragon Quest:Chapters of the Chosen(DS),Valkyrie Profile:Silmeria(Playstation 2) and the Syberia series for the PC.Point and click adventures and hidden pbject games are also favorites of mine.
I also like the fun, silly stuff like Loco Roco,Cooking Mama and Super Smash Bros..

The thing I like best about gaming is that there is no limit to what ages can play them.I am not a kid(I won't tell you how old I am,I will just say that I am an ageless entity)My husband plays Tiger Woods on the Wii and I play on my computer.......and for us it is an escape from the reality and drudgery of every day life.It just works.Who doesn't want to escape for a few hours and go to another world where your age, your income or your living situation doesn't matter a whit?
GAME IDEAS

1.Chronicles of Zen
Mai Lin,a teenage girl in China, lives with her father on their small rice farm where she helps him harvest and bring the rice and vegetables they grow to market. Mai enjoys her life with her father but she misses her mother, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances when she was a baby. Mai Lin’s father refuses to tell her what happened or where her mother is.
One day, Mai Lin is picking wild raspberries when a strange man approaches her and asks her if her name is Mai Lin. The man goes on to say that he knows where her mother is and they must go find her now or she will be killed. Mai Lin hurridly takes the man to her father who finally tells the whole story of where Mai Lin’s mother is.
Mai Lin’s mother was a beautiful girl, the most beautiful girl in the village. Her real name was Qingqang, but all the boys called her Lotus. Mai Lin’s father fell madly in love with her ,succeeded in marrying her and they had a lovely daughter they called Mai Lin. When Mai Lin was just a small baby, Lotus was kidnapped by a powerful Japanese shogun named Hirowashi. Hirowashi took Lotus with him to Japan where he forced her to be his wife. Mai Lin’s father was too humiliated to tell her the truth about her mother so he kept it secret all his life.
The stranger, a Japanese warrior named Akinori, is part of Hirowashi’s army. He left the army because he was tired of Hirowashi’s draconian rules and abusive treatment. He found out that Hirowashi had grown tired of his beautiful wife and had ordered her to be executed so he could remarry. Hirowashi accused Lotus of being a witch.
Akinori traveled for days to find Mai Lin and ask for her help. Unbeknownst to Mai Lin, she carries a powerful ability-the ability to foresee the future-and she also possesses a powerful amulet given to her by her mother before she was kidnapped. The amulet, a small jewelled bird, must be opened in order to defeat Hirowashi and bring her mother back. The only way to open the amulet is to find Lotus and have her say the incantation that will open the bird’s wings and free her.
Akinori and Mai Lin leave on a journey to bring back Lotus. Along the way, they will meet many people and animals that will be willing to help them, some for a price, others for free.
This will be a vast, magical RPG with plenty of characters and side quests. The game is won when Mai Lin brings Lotus back home and marries Akinori.
